Irwin, Phyllis Agnes, 93 of Brookfield, passed away November 9th, 2013 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Beaver Brook, she was the youngest and last surviving member of twelve children of Peter and Sarah (Burgess) Crowe.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Bert) Pratt of Hilden, Peggy (Don) Berry of Shortt’s Lake; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren: Shelley (Ian) Inward, Jocelyn and Joshua of Toronto, Kevin (Cindy) Pratt, Samuel of Ottawa, Mark (Venessa) Berry, Alexander and Caitlin of New York, Victoria Berry (Theresa Frost), Angus of Toronto, Marianne (Michael) Michaud, Jack, Lilly and Andy of Valley; sister-in-law Doris Crowe; cousins; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years in 1972, John (Jack) Henry Irwin.
No visitation by family request. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery, Truro. Donations in Mom’s memory to the charity of your choice would be much appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff of Elk Court. Their care and compassion has been very much appreciated. Also thanks go to the Geriatric and Palliative Care team, the Anglican Church Ministry and all our relatives and friends who have given us support during Mom’s illness.
