It is great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Turpin announce her passing on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit in Western Memorial Hospital in her 84th year. She will be sadly missed by her sons: Dennis (Lorraine) and Gregory Turpin, 5 grandchildren: Connie Turpin Hodder (Christopher), Tina Turpin, Dennis Turpin Jr. (Laura), David Turpin (Sarah), and Angel Turpin (Michael), 10 great-grandchildren; Craig Turpin, Cameron Turpin, Taylor Turpin, Riley Cluney, Kyle Turpin, Drew Turpin, Elijah Turpin, Abigail Turpin, Silas Turpin and Myan Moon, sister Sadie (Baxter) Lodge, brother Maxwell Rowsell, special niece Melva Janes (Bub). Also a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Kitty and Joseph Rowsell, husband James Turpin, siblings Beatrice Waykins, Edna Fifield, Lewis Rowsell, Doyle Brown, Evelyn Janes, Effie Decker and Florence Reid. Visitation took place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street Deer Lake on Wednesday, November 13th, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Church, Deer Lake today, Thursday, November 14th, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Major Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating.
