HUGHSON, EDITH C. - Edith C. Hughson passed away peacefully at Lakeview Manor, Riverview, on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at the age of 94. Born in Chatham, NB on June 7th, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Gladys (Currie) Cooper. Edith is survived by her sons Bill and John (Ellen), daughter Carole Hughson, grandchildren; Dean, Kyle, David, Stephen, James, John, Katie, eight great grandchildren as well several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Edith was predeceased by her husband James S. Hughson, son James S. Hughson Jr., sisters; Annie, Ruby, Jean, Gladys and Mammie, and brothers George and Archie.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service celebrating Edith’s life will be held at St. Paul’s United Church 404 Cleveland Avenue Riverview on Friday, November 15th, 2013 at 2:00 pm, Rev. Steve Berube and Rev. Dr. Andy O’Neil officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation.
