Leslie Alfred “Pat” Flynn, age 73, of Three Mile Plains passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with his family by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 12, 1939, in Wentworth Creek, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Leslie and Viola (Whitehead) Flynn. Leslie worked as a welder at Fundy Gypsum Company, for 44 years. As a family man, he enjoyed car drives and going out for dinner. He loved camping with his family, bowling, playing his fiddle at the music jams, which he really missed when he could not attend. Leslie enjoyed his Tim’s time at Tim Horton’s with his wife and friends. Leslie also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, Annabelle. Leslie is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, the former Vera Brown; daughter, Rosanna (Donny) Henry, Stewiacke; Kim (Mark) Langdon, Ellershouse; Teresa (Tony) Peters, Hilden; grandchildren, Alexa (Russell) Henry; Bradley Henry, Caleb Langdon, Ryan Langdon, Nicole Langdon, Jacob Peters, Delaney Peters; great-granddaughter, Annabelle Rose May; brothers, Harley (Betty) Flynn, Beaverbank, Timothy Flynn, Three Mile Plains; sister, Ruby MacKenzie, Cogmagun; several special nieces and nephews. Besides parents, Leslie and Viola (Whitehead) Flynn, he was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Larry Flynn and by brother, Ralph Flynn; half sister, Margaret Heisten; niece, Tina MacKenzie. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 11, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tom Henderson officiated, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre. Interment was held in Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix. Donations in memory were requested to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Palliative Care Unit of Hants Community Hospital.
