It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alexander “Sandy” Murphy announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 57 years, Genevieve (nee McCarthy); son Walter; brother Roy; brother-in-law Randy McCarthy (Jean); his precious dog Chico, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents John and Leah Murphy and his brothers and sisters. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Curling. Arch Deacon Edward King officiating. Interment will follow from the Anglican Townsite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
