RUTTAN, JOAN MARIE – Joan Marie Ruttan passed away peacefully at the age 72, on November 18, 2013, at the Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (McDevitt) Williams. She was a hardworking mother who always had a smile and an encouraging word for everyone she met. She was loyal to her family and proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by sons Russell (Barbara) and Daniel both of Saint John, NB; daughter Anne (JT) Kroll of Hampton, NB; brothers Henry Williams of British Columbia, Fred Williams of Hamiliton, ON, Donald (Barb) Williams of Ottawa, ON, John Williams of Saint John, NB, Robert Williams of PEI; sisters Sandra Stafford and Theresa Goss both of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Evan Ruttan, Emily Ruttan, Jeffrey Silliker, Meghan Silliker; great-grandchildren Sophia Silliker. She was predeceased by brothers Ronald Williams, Gerald Williams, George Williams; sister Clara Bennett.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date.
