It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gabriel Tatchell Sr. of Castors River North, NL, announce his passing on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons Lawrence, and Gabriel Jr. (Marie) of Castors River North; daughter Alicia (Gus) of Port Saunders; grandchildren Santana, Lamonte, Shantelle, Jenny, Garfield, Janice, and Codie; great-grandchildren Nelson, Julia, and Bella; brothers Pius, Isaac, and Anthony and a circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Visitation took place at St. Ann's Chapel in Castors River North on Monday and Tuesday from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 12 noon with Fr. Gabriel officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bartlett's Harbour. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
