Taylor, Arthur Grant, age 92, of Windsor, Hants County, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with his loving family by his side. Born on February 4, 1921 in Windsor, Hants County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Viny (Burgess) Taylor of Avondale, Hants County. Grant was the last surviving member of his family. Grant was a mechanic at J. Reg Smith Limited for thirty years. He loved camping and gardening. Grant is survived by his loving wife of seventy-one years, Thelma (Shay) Taylor; his sons, Fred (Paulette Church), Chester Road; Robert (Vanessa), McKay Section, Hants County, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. Besides his parents Grant was predeceased by daughter, Kathleen (Kay) Card; son, Doug; brother, Ronald “Ron” Taylor; sister, Betty Beaver. Cremation had taken place and there was no visitation by request. A celebration of Grant’s life was held 2 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. The Rev. Garnet Parker officiated.
