Peacefully, at Whisperwood Villa, on Sunday, November 24, 2013, of William Longridge “Bill” Hicken, formerly of Victoria Cross, age 92 years.
Bill was born at Lyndale, P.E.I., on October 23, 1921, to the late Adam and Johanna (Stephens) Hicken. He is survived by his sons, Reagh (Marina) and Dr. Blair; grandchildren, Deidre and James (Rekha); sister-in-law, Helen Hunt; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his devoted wife of 48 years, Kathleen (Campbell); his sisters, Hazel (William) Longridge, Reta (Ernest) Martin, Etta (Sarto) Minihan, Pearl (Ted) Kobel and his brother, Stephen (Myrtle).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where a private family funeral will be held. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Interment in Union Cemetery, Union Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
