SNOW, LAWRENCE - Lawrence “Larry” Joseph Snow, of Golden Grove Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his home. Born 1949 in Sydney, NS he was the son of the late Whitney and Edith (Dunphy) Sampson. Besides his biological parents he was predeceased by his adopted parents John and Rita Snow; brother Ivan Sampson; sisters Darlene Griffith and Giselle Wall. Larry had worked in construction for Local 131 and later worked as a cross walk guard for Forest Hills School. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his spouse Judy Dawson; daughters Angela Dawson, Darlene Snow (Mike Arsenault) and Leta Doucette (Robert) all of Saint John; former spouse and mother of his children Mary Helen Snow; brother Wayne Sampson of Dartmouth; sister Leta Thomas (Neill) of Dartmouth, cherished grandchildren Paige Dawson-LeFort and Sarah Doucette; father-in-law Edward Dawson of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, followed by a reception at the funeral home.
