Irwin Lariviere
LARIVIERE, IRWIN MALCOLM - 1939 - 2013 - Irwin Lariviere of Quispamsis, and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John. Born in St. Felix de Kingsey, QC, he was the son of the late Clarence and Gladys Lariviere (Brock). Irwin had a lengthy career in sales with Sonoco where he retired at the age of 62. Always on the go, he took a position with Kent Building Supplies on Trinity Drive for the past 10 years. He loved working with his hands. Woodworking, camping, golfing and music were just a few of his much-loved interests. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Georgina (Jacky) (Buck); daughters, Sharon Whalen (Daniel Kopp) of Hampton; Donna Hopper of Riverview; Judy Lariviere of Riverview; son, John (Brenda) of Quispamsis; sister, Vera Hughes of Richmond, QC; grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth, Michelle, Cassey, Rebecca, Alyssa, Caitlin; great-grandchildren, Emma, Logann, Malcolm, Carley; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Irwin was predeceased by his sister, Grace Taylor, and brother Everett.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Riverview (869-2007). There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service will take place from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church (28 Woolridge Ave., Riverview) on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11am with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Bobby’s Hospice (385 Dufferin Row Saint John, NB E2M 2J9) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
