Lillian Clark
CLARK, LILLIAN MAY - 1926 - 2013 - Lillian May (Shaw) Clark passed away November 27 peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer and heart disease. She was the daughter of the late James and Eva (Thurber) Shaw. Lillian is survived by her six children: Nadine (Allen) Holmes, James, Norma Stewart, Mulford (Phyllis), Thomas (Fiona O’Flynn) and Stephen; her grandchildren: Alastair (Natasha) Holmes, Andrew Holmes (Linda Pelletier), Samantha Clark-Brideau (Jean Claude), Chad Clark (Tanya Poirier), Alex Stewart, Brittany Stewart, Bruce (Joanne) Clark, Janey Clark, Aisling Clark, T. Darragh Clark, Kevin Clark, Maxwell Clark and Brandon Clark; her great-grandchildren: Harrison Holmes, Elena Brideau, Veronica Price-Brideau, Kayla Stewart, Alyssa Stewart, Bruce Clark Jr. and Raistlin Clark as well as her sisters-at-heart: Norma Smith, Ellen Hatt and Gwen McGee. She was predeceased by her husband Everett Clark, an infant son, a brother Dalton Johnson, and her Aunt Clara. Lillian will be sadly missed by family, her many friends and the community. She was active in the Girl Guides, Granite Town Seniors, the Bridge Club, Red Hatters and many more too numerous to name. She loved to cook, knit, crochet, paint, nature-watch and especially loved to travel and meet new people. Lillian was active up until the last few weeks of her life.
In accordance with wishes, she has donated her remains to the Dalhousie Medical School. Visiting for family and friends will take place at the St. George Baptist Church Friday evening, November 29 from 7pm to 9pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the St. George Baptist Church on Saturday, November 30 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
