Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, November 28, 2013, Margaret (Peg) Best of Southern Harbour, aged 77 years. Predeceased by her husband Maurice; daughter Rhonda; parents Leo and Mary Una Whiffen; sisters Vera and Marilyn; brothers Roddy and David; nieces Maryann, Lacey and Wanda; brothers-in-law Bill Wannamaker; Dominic Best (Rose) and Thomas Best; Left with fond and loving memories her children Joan (Bill Hickey), Leo (Diane), Rupert (Helen), Gordon (Wendy), Linda (Ralph Ryan), Carol Ann (Shawn Hickey), Randy (Pam) and Rick (Teresa); 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters Dola (Lindy Parsons) and Judy Wannamaker; brothers Pat (Bernadette), Billy (Doreen), Andy (Trish) and Eddy (Lynne); sisters-in-law Dot, Donna Hewitt (George) and Nellie Best; brothers-in-law Joseph Miller; George Finlay (Rita) and Kevin Finlay (Jeri); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour. Funeral mass will take place on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Burial will take place at a later date. In her memory flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
