DOIRON, PHILIPPE - Philippe Doiron of Shediac passed away at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital on December 1st, 2013 at the age of 71. Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of Arthur and Rita (Pellerin) Doiron. Big Philippe is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Claudette (Breau) Doiron, sons; Daniel (Murielle Caissie), Arthur (Brigitte Landry), daughter, Barbara (Claude Leger) Doiron, grandchildren; Annie and Philippe Jr., sisters; Rachel (Roland) LeBlanc, Geneva (Allan) Smiley, Helen Gallant, Yvette (Allison) Fougere and his brother in law Emery Gaudet. Philippe is also survived by his mother and his many nieces and nephews. Aside from Big Philippe’s father, he was predeceased by his sister Stella Gaudet and his half brothers and half sisters; Francis Doiron, Emery Doiron, Edward Doiron, Juliette Vautour, Minnie Dourque, Celina Doiron and his brother in law Camille Gallant. Big Philippe loved being outdoors, he was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working around the yard, he was a fisherman for 43 years and loved hunting.
In keeping with Philippe’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Philippe’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
