Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, December 1, 2013, of Mary Josephine McDearmid (nee Chaisson) of Charlottetown, age 82 years.
Beloved wife of Kenneth McDearmid and loving mother of Glen McDearmid (Sue), Shelley Runighan (Peter), Nancy Allen (Bill), Mark McDearmid (Barbara), Robbie McDearmid and Vicky Kelly. Mary is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Maggie Chaisson; sisters, Mary Ann Gallant and Aldine Poirier; and her brothers, Aleir, Alphy, Edward, Johnny, Manuel, Emile and Leo Chaisson.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Monday, December 2, 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 3, at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the QEH Foundation would be appreciated.
