WOOD, DONALD - Donald Charles Wood, 90, of Moncton, passed away at home with his family by his side on December 4, 2013. Born in Upper Rexton, Kent Co N.B. he was the son of the late James and Flora (MacDonald) Wood. He is survived by his loving wife Joy (Wilbur) Wood of 55 years; daughters Marilyn Mundle (David), Norma Wasser and seven grandchildren; Sara, Matthew (Barbara), DJ (Nathalie) and Sandy Mundle; Ronnie Charles, Michael and Robert Wasser. He is also survived by his sister Isobel Godsoe (Edward) of Saint John and his sister in law Polly Wood (William). He is predeceased by his infant son Michael, brothers; Lewis, Colin, Roderick, William and Cartret and sisters Mona and Helene. Prior to his retirement he was a custodian at Beaverbrook School (District 2).
Following his wishes there will be no funeral or visitation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Donald’s memory may be made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital, IWK Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
