It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick George Prosper (1950-2013) of Port au Choix, NL, announce his passing on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 63 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Mary; daughter Marina (Roger) Philpott of Port au Choix; son Patrick Jr. (Lana) of Ottawa; grandchildren Aimee, Emily, Leah, and Matthew; great-grandchildren Shyisha, Jayden, and Matalie; sisters Marjorie (Gerald) House, Helen (David) Howell, Dorothy (Steve) Quility, Alice Nurse (Victor), Miranda, and Betty (Terry) Shawchuck; brothers Terry (Betty Ann), Sam, John (Mary), and Henry and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Betty (Elizabeth), parents Henry and Marjorie and brother Tom. Visitation took place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service was held on Saturday at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix at 2 p.m. with Fr. Britto officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
