NEW GLASGOW – Life’s a game, a rugby game…..
John Vincent Rizzotti, 59, New Glasgow, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 11, 2013.
Born in Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late Vincent Frank Rizzotti and Florence Theresa (Ellsworth) Rizzotti.
A graduate of St. FX University, John was a former member of the BPOE Elks 226 and a long time member of the Pictou County Senior Rugby Club. John was deeply interested in family history and spent countless hours online and at the library gathering and researching information.
He is survived by brothers: James (Cindy), Vincent (Brenda), Bill (Patsy), all of New Glasgow; sister, Mary Rizzotti, Elliot Lake, Ontario; nieces: Pamela and Denise Rizzotti, Natasha Rizzotti and Sarah Beggs; nephews: Sean Rizzotti and Will Rizzotti.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating.
Family flowers only. Donations in his name may be made to the Pictou County Food Bank.
