O'DONNELL, ROBERT "FRANKLIN" - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert "Franklin" O'Donnell, which occurred on Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Saint John, NB. Born in 1945, he was the son of the late Russell and Ada (Morrow) O'Donnell. Frank enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, fishing, and going to St. Martins, but his greatest joy was spending time with his wife Nora. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nora (Legere) O'Donnell; daughter Annette (Marcus) Lopez of Alaska, sons John (Diane) O'Donnell of St. George and Mark (Shelly) O'Donnell of Calgary. He leaves behind grand children: Marcus Lopez Jr, Shawnessy “Junior” Aguirre, and Robert Lopez of Alaska, Matthew O'Donnell of St. George, and Natasha O'Donnell of St. Stephen, and one great granddaughter, Shawnessy Analilia Jane Aguirre. He also will be dearly missed by four brothers; Raymond (Katie) of Hampton, Paul (Ruth) of St. Martins, David (Narda) of Hampton, and Hudson (Phyllis) of Saint John; six sisters, Marjorie Dunlap, Georgina (Robert) Moore, both of Saint John, Marilyn (Tom) Kilpatrick of Fredericton, Colleen (Raymond) Bennett of Titusville, Ruth (Robert) Waddell of Quispamsis and Wanda (Wayne) Tidd of Digby, as well as, many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his brothers Ernest and Hutchie O'Donnell.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, 646-2424 with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at 6pm on Wednesday. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1 pm followed by a reception. Interment at a later date in the St. Martins Community Cemetery. Remembrances made to the heart and stroke foundation or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
