Dowe, Wilson “Bill” – 80, of Ward’s Brook passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born on the Parrsboro Shore, he was a son of the late Perry and Marie (Allen) Dowe. He is survived by a daughter, Julie Dowe (Dana), Port Greville; a son, Kim, Lincoln Park, NJ; sisters, Leona Dowe, Vivian Duguay, both of Ward’s Brook; Ruby Crossman (Culton), Middle Sackville; Marion Legere, Parrsboro; Althea Legere (Pat), Enfield; Faye George (Willie), Helen George (Johnny), all of Acton, Ont.; brothers, Isaac, Perry, Allan (Judy), all of Ward’s Brook; Kenneth (Carol), Diligent River; grandchildren, Shannon, Nevan, Willa, Callie, Eliza; great-grandchildren, Konrad and Benjamin; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rozelle Benjamin; a brother, Sterling. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Tuesday [December 17, 2013] at Grace United Church, Port Greville, Keith Selwyn-Smith, DLM officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
