RICHARD, CATHERINE - Catherine Richard, 93, of Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born September 28, 1920 in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Agnes (Melanson) Gaudet. Prior to her retirement, she was a seamstress at Creaghan’s and Eaton’s. She was a past member of the Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus and the Golden Age Club in Dieppe. She is survived by two daughters: Odette LeBlanc (Dollard) of Dieppe and Dianne Richard (Napoléon “Nap” Robichaud) of Grande-Digue; one sister, Celina Bourque (late Noel) of Shédiac; two brothers: Albion Gaudet (Géraldine) of Dieppe and Alyre Gaudet (late Aurore) of Cap-Pelé; three grandchildren: Lynne, Julie and Marc; one great-grandson, Jamie; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Tilmon (1993); two sisters: Dorilla and Lorraine; three brothers: Gérard, Camille and Ulysse; her step-mother, Jeanne Belliveau; one step-sister, Laura; two step-brothers: Alfred and Léo.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus R.C. Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Friday December 20 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary, Dieppe. In memory of Catherine, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology or palliative units) would be appreciated.
