TRENTON – Gerald Roger Dickson, age 68, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Archibald “Archie” and Mabel (Rogers) Dickson.
He worked at Hawker Siddeley Ltd. and Trenton Works for many years before operating his own garage on Main Street, Trenton for a number of years. He was a member and warden of the former Saint Augustine Anglican Church. He was an active member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 Trenton and a former member of the Trenton Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Symes, River Hebert; daughter, Lynn (John) Pace, Halifax; son, Roger, River Hebert; grandchildren, Tyler and Chelsea; sister, Cathy (Errol) MacDonald, New Minas; brother, Barry (Lee), Prospect Bay, nieces and nephews, aunt Jessie Polley.
He was predeceased by a daughter Sharon Anne.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A service will be held at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29, or a charity of choice.
