Sandy MacIsaac, 68, of Reserve Street, Glace Bay, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at his home.
Born in Sydney, Sandy was the son of the late David and Theresa (Martenello) MacIsaac.
Sandy worked for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for 32 years, retiring in 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bernice (Hodder) MacIsaac; one daughter, Allison (Mark) Hoogland, Victoria, B.C.; three sons, Scott (Pam), Victoria, B.C., Jamey, Toronto, Blair (Kat), Vancouver; three brothers, Arthur (Carol Ann), Ottawa, David ‘Buddy’ (Jenny), Sydney, Ronald (Mary), Dartmouth and his six grandchildren, Sydney, Calum, Logan, Sebastian, Hunter and Emma.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay with Fr. Leo Boone officiating.
