We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Gordon Tizzard. Gord passed away peacefully December 19th, 2013 at Western Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was 82. Gord leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary (they said it wouldn’t last!), his son Lee and his sister Ruth. Pre-deceased by his grandson Adam and his best friend Michael. And loved by his many dear friends, especially Uschi. Anyone who knew Gordon was uplifted by his love of life and his devilish sense of humour. As a younger man, he was the pied piper for the Butt, Fraser, Hatch and Monaghan children. As a CBC Manager, he was dedicated and kind, the ‘best boss ever’ according to his friend, Kathy. A lover of great jazz and awed by aviation, all who knew Gord waited with anticipation every morning for his clever, sharp witted and ironic emails. Gordon will be deeply missed.
