Peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Sunday, October 12, 2008, of Mrs. Mary E. MacLeod (nee Ross) of Belle River, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Harry T. MacLeod. Dear mother of Miriam Hancock, Belle River; Dan (Mary), Eureka, N.S.; and Marvin (Lynn), Pinette. Lovingly remembered by her brother John (Elva) Ross, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Willie and Minnie (Acorn) Ross, her daughter Marion, granddaughter Dianne Panting, grandson Roger Hancock, son-in-law Cleveland Hancock, sister Jessie Gillis (Norman), sister Lillian Buell-Livingstone (Clayton Buell/Elmer Livingstone). Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Little Sands Cemetery.
