Ava Gillis passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the age of 65 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her best friend and husband of 42 years, Leo; son James (Cathy); daughter Jennifer (Randy); precious grandchildren Emily, Robert, Rachel and Sydney; sisters Teresa (Dan) and Joanne (Leopold); brother Gary; and many more family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Anna and brother Michael.
Ava was born and raised in Sydney Mines, NS. She was a graduate of the college of Cape Breton and moved to Calgary where she established a strong reliable reputation in the printing industry. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Pierson's Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
