MOXON, RICHARD “DICK” - It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Richard”Dick” Moxon at home on December 26, 2013. Born in Maugerville he was the son of the late Harry and Alice Dolores (Everett) Moxon and the beloved husband of Aurelie “Lili” Moxon. Richard worked for the Federal Government from 1958 – 1991 with Employment and Immigration. He enjoyed gardening and was an active member of the Fredericton Garden Club and Botanical Club, as well as a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Dick was also a volunteer at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital where is gardening talents were used in the Palliative Care Garden. He enjoyed nature and loved taking walks with Lili and their pet, Lyra. Above all he was a loving husband, father, devoted grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed. Survived by his loving wife Lili; one daughter, Michelle Adams (Trev) of Fredericton their children, Amanda, Logan, Rachel, Kolby and Hudson; one son, Dana Moxon (Brenda) of Nasonworth their children, Clayton(Tiffany) and Justin; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Blake; two sisters, Thelma Kolhoff of Saint John and Bonita Mockler (Allison) of Oromocto. Predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Ralph and Miles Moxon; one brother in law, Bill Kolhoff.
There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Monday, December 30th, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Monte Peters as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery in Maugerville in the spring. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
