MacGREGOR, VERA - The family of Vera A. MacGregor announces her death at the Pine Grove Nursing Home on December 28, 2013. She was born on February 13, 1921 in Millville, NB to the late David and Victoria Carey. Vera was 92. Vera is survived by her children, Donald, Rodney (Joyce), Robert (Heike), and Sharon; grandchildren, Christopher (Leana), Mathew, Thomas, Kate, Alexander, and Nicolas; great granddaughter, Sylvia; and sisters, Margaret, Patricia (Tom), and Connie (Gordon). Along with her parents, Vera was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; sister in law, Grace Reid; brothers, George and Albert; and sister in law, Doris Carey. Vera loved to travel, had a passion for reading, spending time with her family, and cooking. She was a life time member of the I.O.D.E., the UCW, and a parishioner of the Wilmot United Church. The family would like to thank the staff of the Pine Grove Nursing Home for their never ending care and support while Vera was there.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Interment will be in the spring of 2014 at the Douglas Rural Cemetery.
