MESHEAU (Henry), Alma Louise – 76, Middle Stewiacke, passed away Friday evening, December 27, 2013, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born May 26, 1937, in Harewood (Salisbury Parish), New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Dean and Irene (Carson) Henry. Alma is survived by her husband of 56 years, Floyd Mesheau, Middle Stewiacke; sisters, Olive Taylor, Myra Seeley; sister-in-law, Marjorie Henry, all of Salisbury, New Brunswick; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Vivian (Beryl) Taylor, Alta (Joe) Mesheau; brother, Dean Henry. She had been in declining health for the past several years, however, her passing was sudden and a shock to everyone. She will be sadly missed. Alma and Floyd were married in 1957 and so began a Military life. They lived in Petawawa, Ontario; Soest Germany; London, England, and finally in Chatham, New Brunswick. She was a good friend to all and a supporting member of the Middle Stewiacke United Church and community when physically able. She was a meticulous homemaker and an excellent cook who was very good at passing her ways and knowledge to her husband when she was no longer able to execute these tasks herself. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013, in Middle Stewiacke United Church, Cloverdale Road, Middle Stewiacke, Reverend Boyd Vincent officiating. Reception will follow in the church basement. Spring interment in Middle Stewiacke Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Alma’s memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
