The death occurred at Beach Grove Home on Sunday, December 29, 2013, of Mrs. Shirley M. Doucette (nee Power) of Charlottetown and formerly of Halifax, N.S., age 80 years.
Beloved wife of the late Captain Robert Doucette (Coast Guard), and dear mother of Joseph L. Doucette and Anne Marie Doucette. She is also survived by four loving grandchildren, Raven (Bret) Coady, Lindsay Cudmore, Joe Sawler and Ashley Doucette; her very special great-grandchildren, Emma and Owen Coady; and her brother, Leslie Power. She was predeceased by son, Freddie; daughter, Michelle Sawler; sisters, Dorothy Kelly, Eileen MacCully, Gertrude Peters, Mildred Clark; and brothers, Cyril, Edward, Sedley and Ralph Power.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visitation on Friday from 5-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness (3 MacKinnon Drive), Stratford, on Saturday at 3 p.m.
