John Wallace Clark - 92, of Wedgewood House, Kentville, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Clarksville, Hants County, he was a son of the late Stanley and Elsie (Wallace) Clark. He retired in 1982 after 42 years with the Dominion Atlantic Railway. He is survived by a daughter, Mary (Cecil) Lockhart, New Minas; two sons, Harold “Sandy” (Denise), Saulnierville; Stanley (Nalom), Carter's Beach; two brothers, Grant (Maxine), Saint John, New Brunswick and Robert (Pauline), Clarksville; six grandchildren, Andrew (Shawna) and Anthony (Stephanie) Lockhart, Meghan (Bryce Jamieson) and Brett Clark, Suzanne (J.C.) MacDonald and Alexandre Clark; nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Alice (Garby) Clark; two brothers, Harold and Ralph. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at a later date in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Stanley, with burial to take place in the church cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses.
