Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Thursday, January 9, 2014, of Mary Bell Lockerby, beloved wife of the late Russell Lockerby, formerly of Fortune Cove, age 101 years. Born at Dock, P.E.I., on December 28, 1912, she was the daughter of the late John William and Martha Minnetta (nee Hodgson) Forsyth. Dear mother to Kay Barbour of Montrose, and Jack (John) and his wife Jan of Mississauga, Ont. Cherished grandmother to Christina and Stephanie Lockerby and husband (Craig Tweedy) of Oakville, Ont., Carl Barbour of Montrose, and Kevin Barbour of Summerside. Great-grandmother to Sophie Grace Tweedy. She was predeceased by her husband Russell, grandson Douglas Barbour, daughter-in-law Elfi Lockerby, son-in-law Jack Barbour, and by siblings, Margaret Forsyth, Jean (late Lloyd) Wilkie, Dorothy (late Leslie) Hardy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Sunday afternoon from the funeral home at 2 p.m. Rev. Evelyn Carpenter and Rev. Lynn McKinnon officiating. Interment later in Hillcrest Cemetery, Alberton.
