It is with great sadness that that the family of the late Guy Morgan Butt announce his passing on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in his 90th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 60 years, Leah Butt (Parsons); children: Morgan (Hilda), Edgar (Joan), Rodney (Judy) and Beverly Butt–Hussey (Frank); grandchildren: Edgar, Colin (Tara), Leanne (Brian), Craig (Carla), Renee (Mike), Mark (Megan), Dennis (Weronika) and Tiffany (Darnell); great-grandchildren: Taylor, Ethan, Brady, Heidi, Isaac and Samantha; sisters-in-law: Edna Swain (Hector), Eva Richards (Howard) and Lima Derouet (Raymond); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Austin & Alfreda Butt, baby girl Butt, sisters: Bryda Lewis and Susie Wells, brothers: Ralph Butt and Edward Butt. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Sunday and Monday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at 2:00 p.m. from Curling Memorial United Church with Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
