WELLS, George Wells passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Swift Current Care Centre, at the age of 87. The memorial service was held on January 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan, with Captain Michael Ramsey officiating. Cremation preceded the service. George was born to Robert and Mary Wells on May 29, 1926, on the family farm southwest of Mankota, SK. George spent his early years as a working cowboy on various ranches in southern Saskatchewan. In the early 50's he worked road construction and long distance trucking. In 1954 George met Florence Senft and they were married in Swift Current on August 27, 1955. They raised three children, Lynn, Karen and Robert. In March of 1979, Florence passed away. In 1981 George met Bonnie Murphy and they have been together for 32 years. George is predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary, his wife Florence (Senft), siblings Ina, Bert, Etta, Florence, Vi, Lloyd and Glyn. Survived by partner Bonnie Murphy, daughters Lynn Hurl (Randy), Karen Waters, and son Robert Wells, extended family: Kelly Murphy(Cathy), Duaine Murphy (Cecile), Heather Murphy and Shawn Murphy. Grandchildren, Dustin Hurl (Jen), Shane Hurl (Suzanne), Amy McLean (John), Matthew Waters (Nicole), Chelsea Fisher (Karl), Janna Wells, Janice Murphy, Maggie O'Neil, Nicole Murphy and Meagan Murphy. Great grandchildren Sierra and Blayke Fisher, Kaedyn Waters, Lachlan and Kalli McLean. Sister, Willa Gavelin, Sister-in-laws Bertha Wells, Phyllis Wells, and Diane Wells, Mary Senft and brother-in-law Bud Senft as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
