It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Genge of Anchor Point, NL announce his passing on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter Valerie; sons Lawrence (Enid), and Leslie (Susan); granddaughter Gina; grandson Andy; two very close friends Pierce Genge and Howard Pilgrim; and a circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy, son Albert Jr., sisters Mary and Joanna, brothers Cyril, Jacob, Matthew, Lawrence, and Romeo. Visitation took place at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Anchor Point on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service was held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Interment followed at the old Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
