STEEVES, ROY VERNON - 1942-2014 - Roy Steeves of Riverview passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Joggins, NS he was the son of the late Cecil and Mae Steeves (Surrette). He was formerly employed with The Moncton Ice Plant, enjoyed playing cards in his spare time and was an avid collector of clocks and old records. He is survived by his daughters, June (Steve) Gallant, Corrina Steeves, Christal Scott, all of Moncton; sisters/brothers Dorothy (Floyd) Shaffer of Hillsborough, Doris Harvey of Moncton, Joan (Steve) Douthwright of Collier Mountain, Earl Surrette of Moncton, Paul Steeves of Parkindale, Willard Steeves (Linda) of Forest Hill, Donald Steeves (Heather) of Parkindale. Predeceased by Grace and Marilyn.; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Jean (Ermen) in December 2012.
There will be no visitation. A small gathering is going to be held at 95 Zack Road, Berry’s Mills (Take Road across from Moncton Dump) on Sunday January 19, 2014 from 6pm til 10pm at his daughters house. We will have a private area set up for all to pay their respects. (All is welcome to attend). Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007).
