It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leona Lucas Doucette announce her passing at Stephenville Crossing on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the age of 53 years. She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Daniel Lucas of Toronto, Bruce Doucette of Alberta; daughter, Nikita Doucette of Stephenville; mother, Louise; eight brothers: Amos (Lorraine) of Stephenville Crossing, Clarence of Alberta, Gerard (Lorie) of Stephenville Crossing, Ambrose (Tammy) of Stephenville Crossing, Dwayne (Brenda) of Nova Scotia, Jeff of Stephenville Crossing, Glen (Gisele) of New Brunswick, Stewart (Darlene) of Stephenville Crossing; six sisters: Linda (Bill) of Little Rapids, Bertha (Rod) of Black Duck, Sylvia (Don) of Stephenville Crossing, Julie of St. George’s, Phyllis (George) of Heatherton, Clara Cormier of Stephenville Crossing; two grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Lucas. Cremation has taken place and friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Stephenville Crossing on Friday, January 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing.
