The death occurred peacefully at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, of James "Jim" Milligan of Borden-Carleton and formerly of Northam, aged 71 years. Jim was born on June 25, 1942, in Summerside to his late parents James and Wilna (nee Toombs) Milligan. Beloved husband of Dianne (nee Ramsay) Milligan and loving father of Kelly (Royce) MacDonald of Kinkora and James (Lisa) of Springvale. Also lovingly remembered by 2 grandchildren, Mallory and Matthew MacDonald, and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sisters Barbara (Art) Hiscock and Margaret (Don) Ross, brothers and sister-in-law William (Peggy) Ramsay and Fr. Paul Batchilder. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sisters Elizabeth Stobbs and Susan Batchilder, brother Thomas Milligan, his mother and father in-law Elroy and Isabel Ramsay, brothers-in-law Art Stobbs and Bill Douglas. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, Jan. 20, then to the Cape Traverse United Church, Cape Traverse, for a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Jim’s memory to the Shriners Travel Fund or Cape Traverse United Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday, 4-7 p.m. Members of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge #15, Central Bedeque, will hold a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
