The death of Marie Jane Illsley of Summerside, aged 88, occurred Monday, October 20, 2008, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside. Born in New Town, Guysborough Co., N.S., Marie was the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma (Cameron) Archibald. Marie is survived by a daughter, Jane (Robert) Harris, Middleton, N.S.; a son, George (Barbara), Wilmot Valley; grandchildren, Patricia, Carolyn and Jillian Bishop, Mark and Mitch Illsley; great-grandchildren, Izaak, Lily and Frank; sisters Margaret Cleveland, Elsie (George) MacDonald, Violet (Scott) Fraser and Edna Fraser, all of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her husband, Allison Illsley, and brothers Cecil, Henry and Hugh Archibald. Marie is resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where her funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the Berwick Cemetery, Berwick, N.S. Visiting hours Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the P.E.I. Lung Association would be appreciated.
