It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister and partner, Roxene Rambeau. She passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Jan.18, 2014, surrounded by close friends and family.
Born in Neil’s Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Vera (Fricker) LeFriend.
Roxene is survived by her son, Kyle, Ingonish; brothers, Rickey (Chantelle), Ottawa, Dean (Mary), Ingonish, Silas, Sydney; sister, Pamela (Darryl), Pleasant Bay, partner and best friend, Brent Landry and several nieces and nephews.
A family service will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Church of Christ the King, with Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating. Interment at a later date in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Ingonish.
Memorials in Roxene’s memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
