Sturge
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Mrs. Marie Sturge, age 84 of Musgrave Harbour. Marie passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes in Gander surrounded by her family on Friday, January 17, 2014. Pre-deceased by her parents Baxter and Gertrude Abbott, loving husband Walter Sturge, brothers Max (Florrie), Leo (Jean) and Gershon. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Jack (Carol) of Gander, four daughters Shirley Cuff (Eric) of Gander, Christine Hull (Ben) of Middle Arm, Juanita Dawe (Charlie) of Thornhill, Ontario, Pamela Brinson (Aubrey) of Musgrave Harbour, three sisters-in-law Merida Abbott of Musgrave Harbour, Ruby Blackwood of Onatrio and Gaye Ivany of Botwood, 10 grandchildren Daina (Donnie), Carla (Gary), Jerry (Jenna), Sherry (Brent), Danita (Jason), Teresa (Mike), Maurice (Catherine), B.J. (Tisha), Samantha (Hernan), Cynthia (Johnny), 22 great grandchildren Tyler, Tyson, Timmy, Ujena, Keesha, Matthew, Mackalen, Mason, Ciara, Kristen, Carter, Abigail, Cody, Brooklyn, Gabriel, Jasmine, Isabella, Adrianna, Hayley, Emma, Bree, and Jack, one great great grandchild Ellie, two step-grandchildren Stephanie and Savannah, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Monday, January 20th from the Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey officiating, assisted by Captain Pam Pinksen. Interment followed from the Salvation Army Cemetery in Musgrave Harbour. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour – Wesleyville.
