It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris Parsons announce her passing on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Don (Jean) Parsons, St. John’s, Kathleen (David) Moore, St. John’s, Dorman Pasrons, Corner Brook and Judy Gane, Mississauga, ON; grandchildren: Tracey Parsons, St. John’s, Darlene Pittman, St. John’s, Michelle Penney, St. John’s, Bradley Moore, Virginia, USA and Jonathan Gane, Mississauga, ON; six great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd (Stella) Batt, Baie Verte; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey Parsons, parents Oliver & Elizabeth Batt and sister Stella Steele. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility.
