HOLDEN, Allan Ralph, 67, of Lake John Road, Jordan Falls, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Born in Shelburne on May 21, 1946, he was a son of Margaret and the late Ralph Holden. Allan loved for friends to visit, to play cards, and talk about their hunting days prior to his illness. During his working years Allan was employed by Irving Oil; he held his Master’s Fishing Ticket, owner of his own boat, a carpenter, trapper as well as crab and lobster fisherman. He also loved to hunt in Lake John with his friends. Allan will be sadly missed by his little dog “Sissy”, fat cat “Patches”, his loyal companions; also his loyal and best friend to the end, Shirley Morash. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; daughter, Angela Holden, NB; sons, Jody (Bridgette), Ontario; Toby (Kelly), and Cory (Kelly), all of NB; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Russell (Marjorie); David (Nanette); sisters, Sheila (Elgin) Thomas and Linda Dirksen. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph and infant daughter, Rita. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m in H.M. Huskilson`s Funeral Home, Shelburne. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 2:00 pm in the Jordan Falls Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Holden officiating. Burial in Lake John Cemetery.
