Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Glenbrook Lodge. Phyllis D. Short in her 80th year. Predeceased by her darling son Terry; beloved husband Edward P; parents James and Madeline Jackman; six brothers Mike, Robert, Bernard, James, Cyril and Charles. Leaving to mourn two sons Edward (Connie) and Ken (Claudette); beloved granddaughter Amanda Louise and her mother Donna; dear sister Marie Millburn and family, Pittsburgh, PA; dear sisters - in - law Marjorie Jackman and family, St. John's, NL and Cherie Hartery, St. John's, NL; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special nieces Ann Marie and Michelle. The girls in club F. Martin, M. Skinner, S. Murphy and B. McCarthy. The family would like to thank Dr. A. McKim for taking such good care of mom the past two years. To the staff of Glenbrook Lodge for always having a hug and a kiss for her; to Madonna, Dot and Angie for always being there. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
