It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leslie Thorne announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Sunday, January 26th, 2014 at the age of 39 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his father, Clayton Pilgrim (Joan) in Deer Lake; his seven sisters: Sharon (Bryan) in Toronto, Valerie (Wilson) Boyde in Stephenville, Juanita (Harris) Whalen in St. David’s, Denise (Robert) Spurrell in Fort McMurray, Sherri (Ted) Gracie in Stephenville, Esther (Lue) Ward in Nova Scotia and Jessica King in Corner Brook; his special aunt, Mereda Pilgrim in Stephenville; special niece, Janelle and special nephew, Kristopher; along with a large circle of neices, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Dinah Pilgrim and special aunt, Lucy Pilgrim. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 31st, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home on Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville, with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 30th, 2014. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
