West Bay

It is with great sadness that the family of Jervis Blaze Flynn of West Bay announces his passing on January 28th, 2014 at the Acadian Village in Stephenville at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn his nine children: Debbie (Brian) Hackett, Moncton, NB; Barry (Sandra) Flynn, Kippens; Tony (Janet) Flynn, Labrador City; Vickie (Gary) Tourout, Manitouwadge, On; Gord (Audrey) Flynn, Fort McMurray, AB; Randy (Bonnie) Flynn, West Bay; Karen (Malcolm) Oxford, Stephenville Crossing; Paula (Perry) Bungay, Stephenville; Jeffrey (Sandi) Flynn, Beamsville, ON; his 15 grandchildren: Darren Flynn, Shane Flynn, Mark Oxford, Axton Tourout, Matthew Flynn, Pamela Flynn, Allison Bungay, Sheldon Tourout, Ashley Flynn, Kyle Hackett, Blaze Flynn, Sarah Bungay, Brandon Flynn, Lucas Flynn and Brandi Flynn; nine great-grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; as well as his brother, Ignatius (Lillian) Flynn in West Bay; his sister Theresa McIsaac at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Flynn and his parents, Micheal and Christine. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 1st, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Lourdes with cremation to ­follow. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville, on Friday, January 31st 2014 from 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
