It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Jones announces his passing on Thursday, January 30th, 2014 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 70 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Shirley (nee Bona); children Glenda (Everett), Elisa and Kristen (Michael); grandchildren: William, Jackson, Tyson, Tyler and Tara; great grandchild Darius; brother Walter Jones and his wife Carol, Corner Brook, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Elizabeth Jones; brother’s Harry, Fred, Lloyd, Bill and Cornelius, sisters Mary, Alice, Dorothy and Providence. Granting his wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday, February 3rd, beginning at 11:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at Fillatre’s Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The Very Reverend Dean Park officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made the Canadian Cancer Society.
