Patricia Mary Cochrane (Moriarty) June 30, 1915 - Feb 1, 2014 OH, What a Wonderful Life! Patricia passed peacefully away in the arms of her loving son Patrick and daughter in law Bonnie at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on Saturday evening, Feb 1st. In her 99th year, Pat enjoyed life and dearly loved her family and friends right to the very end. Always grateful for life's blessings, Pat had an amazing memory and keen wit, she loved fun and special celebrations. And now we lovingly celebrate her life. Born Patricia Moriarty in Hr. Grace, Pat was pre-deceased by her husband Sandy Cochrane, 6 infant children, parents Lenora and Edward Moriarty, Brothers John, Stephen and Fr. Edward S.F.M., sisters Elizabeth and Paula (her best friend who passed away on Dec. 29, 2013). Leaving to mourn, yet celebrate her life are sons Paul (Joan) and Patrick (Bonnie), Grandchildren Jeremy, Lucas (Krista), Rebecca (Victor) and Kristie (Brad) and Great Grandchildren Bradley, Sean, Parker, Xavier and Oliver. She also leaves to mourn her only living sibling, Philomena Stapleton in Ottawa. Pat leaves many circles of family and friends from near and far who she would want us to mention for all to see, Her wonderful Hr. Grace family, including Bill Kennedy (Sylvia), Cathy Sinyard (Rex) and their families; Jeannie French (John) of Corner Brook and family; Mary-Lou and Ed Martin and family; Dennis and Susan Browne and Family; Michael Browne, Edward Browne, Paula Nemec and family; Helen Donovan (Brian) and family; Wayne Moriarty (Barb) and family; Michael, Vincent and Michelle Stapleton and their families. Bonnie's family has been special family to Pat, including Shirley and Tony Paltanavage, Rick Brown (Debbie) and family, Kelly Mahoney (Len) and family and Kent Brown. She will also be missed by her favorite cook and family friend, Sharon Jones. Pat?s wonderful circle of friends from 3 Cabot St. to St. George's Court, were always in her thoughts. She enjoyed 32 years at "The Court", where she made lifelong friends who still kept in touch. Pat quickly made friends with residents and staff at Agnes Pratt during her 11 months there, and was grateful for all their care and friendship, she will be missed by Agnes Pratt special friends Caroline Snow and family and the family of Ethel Dowden (recently deceased); she leaves her longtime friend Dollie Seymour (Nat) of Port Aux Basques and June Bartlett, who gave her special homecare TLC. Visitation to celebrate Pat's life will be at Caul's Funeral Home on Lemarchant Rd., St. John's on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 3-4th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM; Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wed., Feb. 5th at 9:30 AM at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist with Fr. Charlie Kelly presiding, just as she always planned, Thank you God. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her honor to charity of your choice. Mostly in her honor, be grateful for your blessings and love one another.
