Annie Elizabeth Dickie

DICKIE, Annie Elizabeth – 94, Lower Truro, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, February 2, 2014, at Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche, where she had resided for the past four years. Born July 2, 1919, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Bertha (Moore) Dickie. She worked as a seamstress at Stanfield’s for many years. Annie is survived by her son, Larry (Dawn) Dickie, Lower Truro; one granddaughter; two great granddaughters; sister, Jean Blaikie, Wallace; brother, Don (Theresa) Dickie, Truro; sister-in-law, Eileen Dickie, Amherst; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy (Howard) Carter, Marie (John) O’Hanley; brothers, Yuill (Greta) Moore, George Dickie. Special thanks are extended to Annie’s “girls” at Willow Lodge for your exceptional care and making Annie comfortable in her new home. Spring interment will be held in Old Barns Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Annie’s memory to Willow Lodge Home for Special Care are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
