LEACH, John Albert, 69. It is with profound sadness that the family of John Albert Leach announce his passing due to injuries suffered on the 28 January 2014. John fought valiantly to overcome his injuries, but sadly lost this battle on Sunday, 2 February 2014. John was a loving husband to Judith, devoted father to Tricia (Johnny), John (Jane) and Deanna (David). He was an adored grandfather to Samantha, Haley, John James, Ryder, Cole, Taylor and Jordan. He was also loved by two great grand-daughters, Rylee and Maci. John was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Pauline Wilson (Nickerson) and his father John Douglas Leach. He leaves four brothers, Leo Leach, Archie Leach, Richard Wilson and William Wilson and two sisters, Sandra June Gula (Leach) and Lori Ritenberg. John was born in Shelburne Nova Scotia, 16 June 1944, grew up in Ontario, moved back to Nova Scotia in the late 1970's. He was a fearless man who lived life on his own terms and loved cars, especially repairing them; he also loved trucking, wishing every day that he was going to be able to "shift those gears" again. He will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends. It was John's wish that there not be a funeral service for him, he said, "I will refuse to go." His mortal remains will be cremated, but his spirit will never die and he will live within all of our hearts forever. Farewell, loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, till we meet again. We miss you terribly.
